May 31 (UPI) — Chris Stapleton has abruptly postponed about three weeks of performances on his 2017 tour.
A post to the country music star’s website detailed eight concert dates postponed and one canceled between June 1 and June 17.
The postponed performances include tour stops in Cincinnati and Fresno, Calif., among other cities throughout the U.S.
Stapleton will also no longer play at the Country Music Association’s CMA Music Festival on June 11 in Nashville, but his team is working to reschedule the other eight shows.
The post directed attendees to those shows to keep their tickets and look for updates from Stapleton.
Stapleton’s website didn’t divulge any reason for the postponed dates, and the Country Music Association’s Twitter account blamed “unforeseen circumstances.”
Stapleton’s latest album, From a Room: Volume I, was released in early May. His tour is set to resume as planned on June 22 in Tulsa and last at least through November.
