Anna Camp to return for ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) — Anna Camp will return to star in Pitch Perfect 3.

The 34-year-old actress confirmed she’ll reprise Aubrey Posen in a tweet Tuesday after the news broke earlier in the day.

“It’s official. She’s baaaaaaaaack…! #pitchperfect3,” she captioned a photo of her character.

Camp joins fellow returning stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, who play Beca Mitchell and Patricia, aka Fat Amy. Step Up All In director Trish Sie will helm the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original Pitch Perfect opened in 2012 and earned $115 million at the box office. The film was directed by Jason Moore, while Pitch Perfect 2 was helmed by Elizabeth Banks and earned $287 million.

“I know [Banks is] still going to be in the movie and a producer on the movie, so she’ll be very much a presence,” Camp told Hollywood Life in June. “I think we’ll definitely miss her as a director.”

“I would love it if [my character] really, truly was relaxed and crazy and let her hair down and just was the most chill Aubrey you’ve ever seen and nobody even recognized her [in the third film],” she added.

Camp married Skylar Astin, who plays Jesse Swanson in the Pitch Perfect movies, in September. The actress is also known for the series Mad Men, The Mindy Project, True Blood and The Good Wife.
