A body was discovered in a wooded area of Long Island on Wednesday morning near the area where a teenage boy vanished on Tuesday.
Investigators but have not released the age, identity or cause of death but said the body was a male, Riverhead Local reported.

The body was found around 7:50 a.m. near the Shoreham home of 14-year-old Nickolas Donnelly, who disappeared after he left home for a jog at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. He was not carrying an ID or cell phone with him, News12 reported.
Police used aviation units and K-9s in a search for Donnelly that lasted late into Tuesday, Riverhead Local reported.
Donnelly was last seen wearing a gray shirt, according to Newsday.
It wasn’t immediately clear who discovered the body on Wednesday.
