Bill Murray launches golf apparel line on 66th birthday

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 21 (UPI) — Bill Murray is celebrating the launch of his own golf apparel line.

The actor released his William Murray Golf collection online Wednesday, his 66th birthday.

“…and away we go. William Murray Gold has arrived. #WMG #BillMurray #ZFG #TheManTheMythTheMurray #ThisIsTheYear,” the brand wrote on its official Twitter account.

Murray collaborated with The Chivery, Resignation Media and his brothers Bill Doyle-Murray and Joel Murray on the line. The collection includes polos, button-up shirts and shorts, among other items.

“With William Murray Golf, we’re looking for that perfect combination of style, humor and subtle irreverence as a way to make things more laid back, relatable and fun,” Joel Murray told People.

“[The line] will break away from traditional golf apparel companies by bringing a new look and feel to the industry with a little irreverence and a lot of style,” Resignation Media echoed in a press release.

Murray is well known for playing Carl Spackler in the 1980 comedy Caddyshack and is an avid golfer in real life. He last appeared in the Ghostbusters reboot and will voice a character in the animated movie B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations.
