Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory withdrew the appeal of his 10-game suspension for multiple violations of the NFL’s substance abuse policy and now will be suspended 14 games in full, through week 14, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Todd Archer.
The first time Gregory will be eligible to play this season is week 15.
Gregory spent time in rehab and was released earlier this month. He has not been around the team since the offseason.
It is unclear whether Gregory violated the substance abuse policy by failing or missing a test.
At the 2015 NFL scouting combine, Gregory tested positive for marijuana, which put him in the league’s drug program. Considered a first-round prospect out of Nebraska, he fell to the second round, where the Cowboys selected him with the 60th overall pick.
