Lady Gaga will headline the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show, reports Us Weekly.
After rumors swirled earlier this week that the pop star was in talks for the gig, she’s now officially signed on to perform at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, on February 5, 2017. At this year’s Super Bowl 50, Gaga started off the show by belting out the national anthem, and prior to her performance she was over the moon.
“This is one of the highest honors of my career,” she said. “I get a chance to sing for all the athletes — who have been working so hard their whole lives for this moment — the coaches, as well as the fans in the stands who are waiting for this moment. I think it marks what being an American is all about.” Awww! We love that she’s still so humble!
