Lost wallet mailed back to Glastonbury festival-goer months later

LONDON, Sept. 16 (UPI) — A woman who lost her wallet at a music festival in England received a surprise when a Good Samaritan mailed it back to her months later.

Becky Spencer posted to the Glastonbury 2017 Facebook page expressing her surprise and gratitude when her wallet appeared at her front door after she lost it at the festival in June.

“This morning I received a knocked on my door and I signed for a parcel,” she wrote. “To my surprise it was the wallet I had lost this year at your joyous festival, complete with all my cards and 3 crisp £20 notes I had only just received from the cashpoint before misplacing it.”

Spencer said a note was not included in the package, but offered thanks to the kind festival-goer who not only left her money in the wallet but also paid an extra fee to ensure it was received safely.

“I want to say a huge thank you to whoever found it and didn’t steal the money and I want to say a huge thank you to whoever sent it and didn’t steal the money and I want to repay anyone who was left out of pocket due to my absent mindedness,” she wrote.

Spencer closed her post by saying she will try to pay the act forward and expressed excitement about attending the festival next year.
