The Game of Thrones and Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars who were onstage to announce the nominees for Best Variety Talk Series, noted how their plan was to mention a number of comedic and shocking one-liners in order to make it into next’s year’s Emmy’s highlights reel.
“Now it’s a party,” Samberg said to kick things off. “I came here in a limo,” Harington added before both of their attention was directed towards Bloodline star Kyle Chandler who was looking on in the audience.
“No, I won’t kiss you, Kyle Chandler,” Samberg said with Harington chiming in, “Yes, I will kiss you Kyle Chandler.” As cameras panned over to Chandler he was last seen laughing at the bit.
To cap things off, Harington then bent the knee and popped the question. “There’s something else I want to celebrate tonight with you, Andy,” the 29-year-old said with a ring box in his hand. “What, Kit, what are you doing? Here at the Emmys? I do!” Samberg, 38 quickly replied.
Harington also made waves at the Emmys when he appeared in a selfie alongside Scandal star Kerry Washington who joked on social media about his character’s return on the hit HBO fantasy drama. “Yo! He’s ALIVE!!!!!” she wrote on Instagram.
