LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) — Stars of upcoming Dreamworks film Trolls, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, and explained how music will play a role in the plot.
In the film’s second trailer Timberlake said music helps rescue the happy group of trolls after they are captured by the villainous Bergens.
In addition to voicing grump troll Branch, Timberlake served as executive music producer and wrote several original songs for the film.
Kendrick, who stars as the cheery and optimistic troll Princess Poppy, said she feels the inclusion of music as a major element felt natural.
“I think music adds so much to animation, it just feels like they belong together,” Kendrick she said.
Trolls will release in theaters on Nov. 4 and also features the voices of Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop and Gwen Stefani.
