JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jaguars running back Chris Ivory was released from a local hospital on Tuesday and the team says his status Sunday for a game at San Diego against the Chargers remains uncertain.
Ivory had been hospitalized since Sunday morning for what the team said was a general medical condition and later described as a non-football injury.
He had been limited in practice last week with a calf injury and the reason for his hospitalization was unrelated to that.
The Jaguars released a statement Tuesday afternoon that said Ivory was doing well.
Ivory signed a five-year, $32 million contract with the Jaguars in March. He has rushed for 4,031 yards and 24 touchdowns in six seasons with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets.
