BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 7 (UPI) — Production has begun on Season 3 of the period drama Outlander, Starz and Sony Pictures Television confirmed Wednesday.
The 13-episode, third season is based on Voyager, the third of eight novels in Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling Outlander series of time-traveling romances.
“Book 3 of Outlander picks up right after Claire travels through the stones to return to her life in 1948,” the cable network teased in a press release. “Now pregnant, she struggles with the fallout of her sudden re-appearance and its effect on her marriage to her first husband, Frank.
