Love at first sight does exist — at least it does when you’re Victoria Beckham!
The pop star-turned-designer dished about meeting her now-husband of 17 years, David Beckham, for the first time in a letter penned to herself, entitled “What I Wish I’d Known,” written for the October 2016 issue of British Vogue.
In the letter, Victoria got candid about insecurities and advice she wish she would have given her younger self, including insight into her future husband, writing. “Yes, love at first sight does exist. It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge — although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy.”
The mother of four wrote to herself, ”While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage — you are the famous one).” She continued, “And he has such a cute smile. You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you. He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.)”
The longtime loves began dating in 1997 — at the the height of Victoria fame with the Spice Girls back. They were married in Ireland in 1999 and have three sons, Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 11, and one daughter, Harper Seven, who is five.
