Sanchez, 29, was acquired by Denver this off-season for a conditional seventh-round pick to compete with Trevor Siemian and rookie Paxton Lynch for the team’s starting job. After losing the battle to Siemian, Sanchez was released so the Broncos didn’t have to send the seventh-rounder to Philadelphia.
Dallas is in need of help under center after losing Tony Romo for 6–10 weeks to a broken back. The seventh-year signalcaller will join Prescott and Kellen Moore as the team’s third quarterback.
In four games for the Eagles last season, Sanchez passed for 616 yards and six touchdowns, with six interceptions.
