Four-star recruit Alex Barcello of Corona Del Sol (Ariz.) announced his commitment to Arizona on Friday, he shared on Twitter.
The decision was first reported by Evan Daniels of Scout.com.
“I felt like it was the right fit, right when I got on campus,” Barcello told Scout. “The guys were great. I have a close connection with coach [Sean] Miller and the whole coaching staff. They’ve been great and competing for final fours and national champions. That’s my goal. I can do that here and develop my game for the way I want.”
Barcello is the No. 86 overall recruit and the No. 19 point guard in the Class of 2017.
Barcello was also considering Butler, Indiana, Stanford and Virginia before taking a visit to Arizona and making his decision.
