U.S. Olympic swim team participates in ‘carpool karaoke’ spoof

ATLANTA, Aug. 5 (UPI) — Members of both the men’s and women’s United States Olympic Swim Teams filmed their own version of James Corden’s carpool karaoke.

The video features 40 athletes in nine different cars singing various radio hits as they drive around Atlanta before traveling to Rio for the Summer Olympics.

Stars such as Michael Phelps, Nathan Adrian, Missy Franklin and Ryan Lochte and their teammates belt out a collection of hits from Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and Flo Rida, as well as the Pokemon and Friends theme songs.

Some groups added extra spice to their performances by wearing their swim gear and donning lobster costumes, while Locte’s car stopped for a snack at Chick-Fil-A.

In true patriotic fashion, the team’s excursion around Atlanta ended in a unified rendition of Miley Cyrus‘s “Party in the USA.”
