Lenny Kravitz rocks DNC with ‘Let Love Rule’ performance

PHILADELPHIA, July 28 (UPI) — Lenny Kravitz had the Democratic National Convention rocking Wednesday with a performance of his hit song, “Let Love Rule.”

The rockstar hit the stage following a speech from former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg who slammed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump while advocating for Hillary Clinton.

Dressed in a flower-patterned shirt, gold necklace and sunglasses, Kravitz had the packed audience of delegates and Clinton supporters swaying back and fourth to his hit 1989 single.

“We got to let love rule,” the 52-year-old said following his set. “One God, one planet, one people, and love is the only solution.”

Kravitz was the second performance on the third day of the Democratic National Convention following a collection of more than 40 celebrities and Broadway stars including Kristen Bell and Debra Messing who sang in unison “What the World Needs Now is Love.”
