Carrie Brownstein’s ‘The Realest Real’ trailer features Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon

WASHINGTON, July 13 (UPI) — Portlandia star Carrie Brownstein collaborated with fashion label Kenzo to produce a film to promote the label’s fall-winter campaign.

The trailer for the film, titled The Realest Real, features stars from Netflix series such as Orange is the New Black and House of Cards as well as former Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon.

According to Kenzo, the film “is a humorous exploration of the fickle and instant world of the Internet,” focused on the way social media blurs the barrier between “ordinary and famous.”

Laura Harrier, Mahershala Ali, Natasha Lyonne and Rowan Blanchard also star in the film, to premiere on Monday, Sept. 12, during New York Fashion Week.
