LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) — Bryan Cranston is desperate to keep his daughter away from James Franco in the first red band trailer for Why Him?
The NSFW clip released Thursday, features protective father Ned (Cranston) meeting his daughter Steph’s (Zoey Deutch) billionaire tech boyfriend Laird (James Franco) who “literally has no filter.”
After being off-put by Laird’s constant use of profanity, tattoos, drug use and openness about his sex life, Ned devises a plan to stop the boyfriend from hell from proposing on Christmas day just as the rest of the family starts to warm-up to him.
The R-rated comedy directed by and written by John Hamburg from a story by Jonah Hill, also stars Megan Mullally, Griffin Gluck, Keegan-Michael Key and Adam DeVine.
Why Him? opens in theaters Dec. 25.
