Six Honduran police officers indicted on U.S. drug charges

NEW YORK Six members of the Honduran National Police were indicted on Wednesday on U.S. charges that they conspired to import cocaine into the United States and engaged in related firearms offenses.

The indictment, filed in federal court in Manhattan, followed the guilty plea in May in a related case by Fabio Lobo, the son of former Honduras President Porfirio Lobo, to a charge that he conspired to import cocaine into the United States.
