Josh Murray seems to be a very passionate guy, but based on Andi Dorfman’s book, It’s Not Okay, it sounds like he really likes to be in control as well. Murray liked to be in control on The Bachelorette, as he wanted to be the final guy. And he also wanted Andi all to himself, meaning he didn’t want her to sleep with other guys in the Fantasy Suite, even though she was looking for her husband. In her book, Dorfman revealed that she should have seen the red flags during her engagement, as she saw signs of his controlling behavior and noticed his attitude change when other guys come around. According to a new report, Josh Murray’s dark past is now surfacing, as his name has come up in a previous arrest.
Apparently, Murray was arrested back in 2008 for disorderly conduct. “The defendant was asked several times to disperse after he had caused a disturbance initially in the parking lot,” the police report read. “The defendants all were cursing and screaming, causing a breach of the peace.” When Josh refused to leave after being asked numerous times, he was placed under arrest. He wasn’t prosecuted in the case.
In her book, It’s Not Okay, Andi reveals that Josh was indeed emotionally abusive. “I was talking to a guest at the event, who happened to be a man,” she wrote. “When [Murray] pulled me aside and told me how disrespectful I was being.”
The two also fought during their engagement, as Josh called her a “whore” for sleeping with Nick Viall in the Fantasy Suite and following men on social media. If all of this is true, it sounds like he is insecure in situations where he’s not in control.
