‘Days Of Our Lives’ News: Kate Mansi’s Last Air Date Revealed, Who Will Take Over As Abigail?

Kate Mansi of 'Days of Our Lives'

Kate Mansi is leaving the role of Abigail Deveraux on “Days of Our Lives” and now the countdown to her final scenes has started. Until now, “DOOL” fans did not know when Mansi would wrap up her time in Salem on-air. However, Kate has now revealed her last air date and a replacement has just been named.

News of Mansi’s departure from “Days of Our Lives” broke quite some time ago. However, because the soap tapes so far ahead, she has still been seen on-screen here and there. Now, however, Kate has shared via Instagram that her last scenes will air on June 24.

Tomorrow is June 1st which officially kicks off the countdown to my last episode on Days of Our Lives: June 24th. Stay tuned to my social accounts along the way- I’ll be sharing some special posts and creative opportunities I have planned as a way to celebrate our journey and take us to the finish line together. Here we go!! XO

Fans spent a lot of time rooting for Chad and Abigail to find their happily-ever-after together, loving the pairing of Mansi and actor Billy Flynn together. The two characters did get married, but unfortunately, there have been few happy times lately. Will viewers get any loving last scenes between Kate and Billy before Mansi is replaced?

Taking over the role of Abigail will be no easy task and “Days of Our Lives” fans have been wondering for quite some time now who the show would tap as a replacement. According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Marci Miller will debut in the role this fall.

For a while, soap fans were buzzing that “Days of Our Lives” might snag “General Hospital” actress Rebecca Herbst to play Abigail. There were concerns that Becky is a bit old for the role, but that didn’t stop the speculation. The buzz is that it almost happened, but Herbst ultimately decided to stay put at “GH.”

Miller is taping already, but “Days of Our Lives” fans will not see her on-screen until this fall, likely in October or November. She will be unfamiliar to soap fans, though some might recognize her from other roles she’s done. As her IMDb notes, she has kept busy with gigs the past few years.

It will surely be difficult for any actress to step into the role of Abigail Deveraux, as Kate Mansi’s departure has hit many “Days of Our Lives” fans hard. Abby has had her ups and downs over the year, of course, but she finally seemed to find the right guy for her in Chad and viewers have been anxious to see what would come next for the pair.

Of course, “Chabby” is still together, but things will be different given the recast. How will Miller do in the gig? Fans are anxious to see what comes next for Abigail and Chad as “Days of Our Lives” transitions from Kate Mansi in the role to Marci Miller.
