Pitch invasion as Hibs win Scottish cup

Pitch invasion at Hampden

Fans invaded the pitch at Hampden following Hibernian’s historic victory over Rangers in the Scottish Cup final.

The Edinburgh side beat the Ibrox club 3-2 with a late goal in injury time.

Hibs fans swarmed onto the park after the full time whistle. Rangers fans then followed and mounted police were deployed to keep both set of supporters apart.

There were reports of some scuffles on the pitch. The invasion delayed the presentation of the trophy.

The Rangers players received their runners-up medals in the dressing room.
