Mark Cuban is totally about sharing the White House with Hillary Rodham Clinton. Not that Clinton has asked him to or anything. But, if she does, Mark is ready to move into Obama’s guest bedroom.
During an interview with NBC, Cuban said that he’d be willing to leave the Republican party to run as Clinton’s Vice President.
“You’ve said that you would love to be Clinton’s running mate as long as you were allowed to throw bombs at (Donald) Trump. If she really did come to you, would you listen?” NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Cuban on “Meet the Press.”
“Absolutely. But the key would be she would have to go more to center,” Cuban said in the interview. “I like the fact that Sen. Clinton has thought out proposals. That’s a good thing, because at least we get to see where she stands. But I think Sen. (Bernie) Sanders has dragged her a little bit too far to the left.”
Although Cuban is typically a GOP supporter, he says he’s unsure if he’d back Trump. Cuban and Trump are friends but the Dallas Mavericks owner says the relationship is “love-hate.”
Cuban says he doesn’t think Trump is authentic. Rather, he believes Trump is telling people exactly what they want to hear.
“The best way to describe Donald right now — and again, I like the guy — is he’s like the guy who will walk into the bar and say anything” to go home with someone, Cuban said earlier this month at a hedge fund professionals conference in Las Vegas.
“If she’s willing to listen, if she’s willing to hear other sides of things, then I’m wide open to discussing it,” Cuban said of Clinton.
Does Cuban have any authority to be giving Clinton advice? Well, Cuban has absolutely no background in politics. Furthermore, he has no qualifications for the VP job. But, if he can own a basketball team, why not let him help run a country?
Pretty much the same thing…
