Capitals’ Tom Wilson Takes Out Sidney Crosby With Wrestling Move

Sidney Crosby, Tom Wilson

Washington Capitals’ Tom Wilson put a sleeper on the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby during the first period of Game 5 on Saturday.

The Caps had to win to avoid playoff elimination. So, Wilson, who is known for getting into fights and conflict on the ice, was willing to use every trick in his bag. He was not letting Crosby get that puck.

Because of moves like these, the Capitals were able to stay alive against the Pens. They won 3 – 1. However, Pittsburgh leads the series 3 – 2.

This isn’t Wilson’s first offence. During Game 1 against the Penguins, Wilson hit Conor Sheary with a knee-on-knee check

Sheary had to return to the bench but he was uninjured. There wasn’t a penalty but some thought that Wilson deserved a suspension for the needless hit.

Wilson has never been suspended by the NHL.
