Rumors erupted that Kanye West fired a bodyguard for flirting with his wife, Kim Kardashian. According to the rapper, that wasn’t ever the case.
Sources tell TMZ that Kanye has no issues with members of security interacting with Kim, and that he definitely didn’t fire Steve Stanulis, a bodyguard hired by “the guy in charge of their security to help out before the Met Gala.”
It was predetermined before the event that Stanulis would only be used for the day before things got underway. Stanulis wasn’t on the West’s regular payroll and was hired as a temp.
As the report states, several media outlets claimed Kanye caned Stanulis for talking to Kim, but were informed that he never had a confrontation with the bodyguard. It was quite the opposite. Contrary to reports, everything “went very smoothly,” TMZ reports.
Insiders close to Kanye and Kim reveal that Stanulis has worked with them before. They believe he fabricated the story to generate some publicity and will not use his services again.
Steve Stanulis has made the media rounds after alleging he got the axe from Kanye West for supposedly “flirting” with him. He told New York Daily News that West is the “most stuck up celebrity” he’s ever worked for and that he’s not having an “affair” with the reality star.
“I’m not having an affair with Kim Kardashian, I’m not f—ing Kim Kardashian, I’m not doing anything with Kim Kardashian,” Stanulis said. “Kanye needs to chill out.”
The bodyguard continued that Kanye is way too into himself.
“He’s the most condescending person I’ve ever met in my life,” Stanulis said. “I’ve worked with a lot of people in his position and higher a lot less self-absorbed and more humble.”
Do you think the former Kanye West/Kim Kardashian bodyguard is making all of these accusations and claims for extra publicity?
