‘Scandal’ Actress Kerry Washington Expecting Her Second Child

Kerry Washington is pregnant again but there’s nothing scandalous about it.

E! Online has the report that the star of ‘Scandal’ is expecting her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, a former San Francisco 49ers cornerback.

Two different sources confirmed the stork visit to E! News. Some celebrity watchers noted that Washington was sporting what some thought was a slight baby bump when she attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington D.C. over the weekend. Now, it turns out that rumor has been confirmed.

Washington hasn’t officially commented on the story but she will be making another public appearance at Monday night’s 2016 Met Gala, according to E.

It will be interesting to see what Washington wears tonight as the ruffled black dress she wore to the Correspondents Dinner seemed designed to minimize her bump. The dress was designed by Victoria Beckham, according to People.

Washington and Asomugha had a top secret wedding in 2013. The two are already parents to two-year-old daughter Isabelle Amarachi.

“I will say I feel really, really blessed,” Washington told the Los Angeles Times following the birth. “I just feel really blessed that I’m kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life.”

Washington also spoke to People last year about becoming a mother.

“It’s just made my life better in every way,” she said. Washington made the remarks while helping to promote the latest edition of Dr. Michele Hakakha’s latest pregnancy book, ‘Expecting 411: Clear Answers Smart Advice for Your Pregnancy’

“This book was by my bedside the whole time I was pregnant,” Washington said at the time.

Sounds like she’s going to have to dust off her old copy pretty soon.

Despite the book promotion, Washington and her husband have developed a reputation for being very private with their 2-year-old daughter, a trend that will likely continue for baby # 2.

“Well, I still won’t talk about my personal life on here,” Washington tweeted on Mother’s Day 2015. “But… I see your tweets. And I am filled with gratitude. XO #HappyMothersDay.”
