LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony have reportedly accepted their invitations to play in Rio this summer for USA Basketball.
FYI: not that it’s any surprise, but I’m told LeBron Melo have accepted invites to play in their 4th Olympics…

They are the first of the big names to commit to Rio 2016, more will likely follow.
LeBron’s involvement sets the standard how good the team USA squad will be. He’s previously mentioned he might take the summer off this year. At the NBA All-Star break, he cited he could need to rest over the summer instead of playing.
There isn’t much of a break for players on teams that make deep playoff runs. USA Basketball will start training camps at the beginning of July.
While LeBron wasn’t sure, Anthony has said he cannot wait to play.
“I’ve been part of USAB since I was 18 years old,” Anthony said, via usab.com. “When you look back at all of it, I have a chance to do something special here. We’re at a point in our career now where we’ve got to start holding onto these moments and enjoying these moments… There’s some history here to be made.”
