Bethenny Frankel recently made headlines over a speech she gave, where she supposedly encouraged women to have sex with men to get ahead. Of course, Frankel is known for being outspoken and crude at times, but it sounds like she’s now defending her actions. In fact, Frankel is now responding to the criticism and she claims that she never said anything of the sort. According to a new tweet, Bethenny Frankel is now fighting back and she’s planning on writing an open letter to set the record straight.
“I listened to my speech. I said NOTHING of the sort will be writing open letter. Shame on media anyone who jumps on without facts,” Bethenny revealed on Twitter, sharing that she didn’t say the things she’s being accused of saying.
“You did say the actual words but not in the context as reported by the HuffPost attendee,” one follower wrote, while another added, “Media never looks at the facts before reporting. It’s a shame we don’t have media like in the 60’s with Walter Cronkite.”
According to Radar Online, Bethenny supposedly encouraged women to have sex with men to get ahead and the story quickly spread to social media. Frankel laughed at the issue at first, but media outlets quickly wrote about the speech. And it forced Bethenny to take a hard look and she’s now writing the letter to set the record straight.
“I was stunned when Frankel implied that women should have sex with men in exchange for capital,” Mary Proyer revealed as a writer for the Huffington Post, adding, “I was offended when she expressed some kind of kinship with black women because she’s ‘loud,’” she continued. “And I was taken aback when she advised those of us in the room, to get business advice, to hire a white man as the face of our companies.”
What do you think of Bethenny Frankel writing an open letter about the issue?
