Mariah Carey has a spendy some spendy pipes and legs. According to TMZ, the singer has a gigantic insurance policy in the catastrophic event something happens to her vocal cords or her legs.
The grand total Mariah is insured for is $70 million — with her vocal cords covered at $35 million and her legs covered for the same amount.
If anything compromised Mariah Carey’s voice or legs, it would result in a massive loss of profits. The singer’s company deemed it wise to insure her assets against any damages. It isn’t revealed what the monthly premium costs, but it’s said to be many thousands of dollars.

Life Style adds in its report on Mariah Carey’s insurance policy for $70 million, that several other Hollywood stars have insured parts of their body. Holly Madison, Playboy model, has insured her breasts for $1 million; Julia Roberts’ smile is insured for $30 million; Famous soccer player and model, David Beckham, has his legs insured for $70 million; and Taylor Swift has an insurance policy for her legs that amounts to $39 million.
Way back in the day, famous dancer, Fred Estaire, had his legs insured for $75,000 each, Insurance Business reports. He also had his hands and wrists covered for $20,000 each. It also mentions that Dolly Parton insured her allegedly 40DD breasts for $600,000; Keith Richards insured his hands for $1.6 million; pop singer, Kylie Minogue has her butt insured for $5 million; Bruce Springsteen has his vocal cords insured for $6 million; and Daniel Craig had entire body insured for $9.5 million filming “Quantum of Solace.”
Insurance policies for stars is staggering. It makes sense when you take into account their bodies are their business and what generates millions of dollars for not just themselves, but the businesses they work for and their own companies as well.
