Wales’ Jamie Donaldson is two shots off the lead at the Houston Open, despite darkness preventing him completing his second round.
The 40-year-old Ryder Cup player shot seven birdies in his 15 completed holes to move to eight-under in Texas.
Donaldson is one of 27 players who will finish their second rounds on Saturday after thunderstorms caused a 90-minute delay to the start of Friday’s play.
Leader Charley Hoffmann added a two-under 70 to his opening 64.
The American bogeyed the 18th to leave him one clear of compatriot Jamie Lovemark (68).
The US trio of Chez Reavie, Dustin Johnson and Roberto Castro are alongside Donaldson on eight-under, with Castro also having three holes outstanding.
Scotland’s Martin Laird was another who failed to finish, his round ending after he bogeyed 15 and 16 to lie four off the lead with two to play.
