George Clooney and his wife, Amal Alamuddin, have a solid marriage and make it a priority. Clooney revealed one very important marriage rule he shares with Amal.
“We have a rule whereby we are never apart for more than a week,” Clooney told Hello. “We also stay in touch via social media, so we try to keep close even if we’re in different parts of the world.”

The 54-year-old actor said he and his wife spend a lot of time in London now where it’s easy for them to “spend a lot of time together” whenever he’s writing or reading scripts.
George Clooney added that he and Amal find a way to make time for each other wherever that may be and where his job takes him.
“ … We can go to Lake Como or spend time in Los Angeles when I need to have meetings for my acting work, or hang around with some of my friends,” Clooney said.
George adds that it takes some planning, but the arrangement works very well for he and his wife.
George and Amal married in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy, in September 2014. Clooney and Alamuddin bonded over their humanitarian interests.
“We have a very strong connection and she’s an extraordinary woman doing great work,” Clooney told to Hello. “We’re both committed and share a common concern for causes like the refugee crisis, but what really brings us together as a couple is the fact that we’re good friends and we enjoy each other’s company.”
Amal Alamuddin is an international rights lawyer based in London.
It sounds like Clooney and Alamuddin know what works for them and believe in putting each other first no matter what challenges their lives present.
