Science Says Similarly Attractive People Tend To Hang Out Together

A new study in the journal PLOS ONE reveals that people in a crowd of strangers tend to gravitate towards others who are similarly attractive. The experiment to prove this was a doozy: Scientists put 172 people in a large stadium in New Zealand, asking them to walk around and mingle.

Prior to the experiment, each of the 172 people was rated in terms of attractiveness by three researchers, then given an average attractiveness score.

Using cameras to monitor the activity of the subjects, they witnessed what happened next, which you can read about on the next page.
