A gunman opened fire at a Greyhound bus station in Virginia and at least two people were killed, local media report.

At least six people were shot, including two Virginia State troopers and one woman, according to ABC 8 News in Richmond.

A SWAT team has arrived on the scene, and the gunman was shot by law enforcement, 8 News reported.

Police confirmed there is an active shooting situation but did not give more details.

Local media have reported that the suspect and one state trooper were killed.

Sources told CBS 6 News in Richmond that state troopers were doing a training exercise when the suspect approached one officer and shot him in the chest.
