William Shatner Sued: Actor Slapped With $170 Million Lawsuit From Man Who Claims To Be His Son

Actor William Shatner is being sued for $170 million by a man who claims to be his son. According to Page Six, a man named Peter Sloan filed legal documents in the state of Florida, requesting that Shatner take a paternity test because he believes that he is his son.

Sloan, 59, claims that his biological mother, late actress Kathy McNeil, had a brief fling with the Star Trek actor and that she got pregnant during the time that they were together. The lawsuit alleges that Shatner didn’t want this news of a “love child” to get out because it would ruin his image. However, Sloan wants the truth revealed.

William Shatner’s lawyer previously reached out to Mr. Sloan after Sloan started calling himself “Peter Shatner” and even started a local radio show under that name.

“Bill…confirmed to me once again that he is not your father. There have been many people over the years who have claimed to be his children or other relatives. He is an incredibly busy, 80-year-old man, and is not interested in spending time discussing this issue with you,” attorney Erik Hyman wrote in a letter to Sloan previously.

William Shatner is still denying that he fathered any other children aside from his three daughters.

“I am William Shatner’s son, and I just wish he would acknowledge me,” said Mr. Sloan. It is unknown if William Shatner plans on fighting these claims in court or if he will agree to take a paternity test to settle this once and for all.
