Lucious’ Enemies List Grows In Season 2 Of ‘Empire’

When it rains it pours. In Lucious’ case the sh!t storm is unrelenting. The clouds were never darker than when we last saw Lucious—Hakeem publicly betrayed him by voting to remove him as CEO of Empire. Then allied with cougar girlfriend Camilla to snatch “his birthright.” Doesn’t get much worse than that, right? I mean getting clawed in the back by your cub is a new low. Well, you’d be wrong, my friend. This is “Empire” after all and everyone loves to hate Lucious (can you blame us?). Including these new characters being introduced in season 2B of “Empire.”

Leslie “Shyne” Johnson (Xzibit) – TV Line reports the “Hawaii Five-0” star will join the “Empire” cast as “100 percent wolf and 100 percent gangster.” Yet, he’s hoping to leave the thug life in his rearview and move forward to a career in the music industry. But Shyne’s been snubbed by big name record labels—like Empire. So, he’s got a big chip on his shoulder towards Lucious. Could this spark a new partnership with Hakeem to seek his revenge on Lucious? Wouldn’t doubt it.

Tariq Cousins (Morocco Omari) – The Lyon family and the Feds go together like cheese and macaroni. So it’s no surprise an FBI agent (hello Tariq and goodbye Doughboy’s mom.) will be tracking the family’s every move—specifically, Lucious’, who will go toe-to-toe with the Philly cop turned FBI agent, reports TV Line. “Homeland’s” Omari will play a street-smart Fed who is tough but fair.

As if the “Snitch Bitch” rapper/music mogul isn’t already preoccupied with his current enemies’ roster. To refresh your memory…

Camilla Marks-Whiteman (Naomi Campbell) – As revenge for forcing Hakeem and her apart, she waited on the sidelines, cozied up with Empire’s newest CEO and stole the company out from underneath him. Unfortunately, Lucious is still in denial over his office space.

Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) – He dealt the deadly blow by voting against his dear dad. But let’s be honest the two were at odds since the season started because of who (not him) Lucious chose as Empire’s heir. It didn’t help that Hakeem leaked his album online without permission and failed at an initial hostile takeover of Empire.

Jamal Lucious (Jussie Smollett) –I know what you’re thinking, why is Jamal on this list? Because Lucious considers him a threat, musically. With the two pitted against each other for American Sound Award’s song of the year, it’s only a matter of time before Jamal is pushed into enemy territory with Lucious. Just you wait.

Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey) – Boo Boo Kitty slept with Hakeem. Strike one. Tried to get the upper hand over Lucious by bringing his secrets to Cookie and her Dynasty record label. Strike two. She’s allegedly the culprit behind Rhonda’s nasty fall and possible loss of Lucious’ first legit grandkid. Looks like Anika’s nearly out.
