England coach Eddie Jones has called for a review of an incident when he claimed Wales prop Tomas Francis made contact with the eye of prop forward Dan Cole.
It was reviewed by the Television Match Official during England’s 25-21 win and resulted in a penalty against Wales.
Prop Francis was lectured by referee Craig Joubert, but Jones is unhappy.
“Clearly there was a finger put in the eye and that should be adjudicated on,” he said.
Wales coach Warren Gatland said: “I haven’t seen it again, and I listened to the TMO comments on it and he said there was only one view of it and it was inconclusive.
“He thought there was contact with the face. I’ll be honest and say initial reaction to it was it didn’t look great, but I haven’t had a look at it since then.”
Exeter’s Francis was a second-half replacement at Twickenham.
Cole was shown a yellow card for a technical offence just before the review of Francis’ action, and ended the game in the sin-bin.
Wales scored two tries in four minutes while England were down to 14 men, but could not complete what would have been a remarkable comeback from a 25-7 deficit.
