The Bachelor Ben Higgins is in love with Lauren and JoJo, but on the March 14 season finale, his final decision will cause both heartbreak and happiness. How did Ben make his choice and what regrets does he have three months after the final rose ceremony was filmed in Jamaica?
Last week, appeared on Good Morning America and confirmed that he is engaged and extremely happy with his final pick. However, he didn’t make the gut-wrenching choice on his own.

After taping the Women Tell All special, Ben told Us Weekly that he turned to his parents and God to help him choose the girl who was best for him. Ben’s parents Amy and David have been happily married for more than 30 years so they know a thing or two about love. Ben is also a devout Christian, so he admits that he “turned to prayer” when he was trying to figure out who he should send home and who would get his final rose — and a big Neil Lane engagement ring.
Despite the advice from his parents and praying for an answer, Ben told Us Weekly that the final rose ceremony was “tough,” especially breaking the heart of one of the girls he fell in love with.
“You’re proposing to somebody on the same day you break up with somebody you love. It’s not how I expected this to go.”
According to Reality Steve, the Ben proposes to Lauren Bushnell and sends JoJo Fletcher home. Although there are mixed feelings among fans as to how the final rose ceremony will play out, Steve is confident that Ben and Lauren got engaged when the finale was taped in November.
