Perdue Chicken Nugget Recall: Plastic Pieces Found In Chicken Nuggets — Here’s The Recalled Product Info

If you have chicken nuggets in your freezer or refrigerator they may be part of a recall by Perdue Foods. The recall was prompted by consumer complaints of small clear plastic pieces inside the chicken nuggets shipped to retailers in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas.

According to the USDA, the was issued on March 5 and is limited to Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets manufactured by Perdue Foods. The 8 oz. packages contain approximately 18 pieces with a Best By date of September 27, 2016.

There have been no confirmed reports of any adverse reactions due eating the recalled nuggets, but Perdue Foods advises consumers who have Applegate chicken nuggets with the Best By date listed below to bring them back to the place of purchase or throw them away.

Other important recalls issued since the beginning of 2016 including a Mars candy recall and a massive recall for Dole bagged salads.

In January, twelves people were hospitalized and one person died from listeria-tainted pre-packaged salads sold under the Dole name and five other brands including President’s Choice, The Little Salad Bar, Marketside, Simple Truth, and Fresh Selections.

On February 23, on February 23, Mars chocolate announced a recall on Snickers, Mars, Milky Way, or Celebrations candy after a consumer found a small piece of red plastic inside a single candy bar.
