Jennifer Garner Says Ben Affleck Dressing As Batman For Their Son’s Birthday Was ‘The Best Dad Moment In History’

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may have had a rough 2015 but that didn’t stop Garner from giving Affleck his due after the actor donned his Batman suit for their son’s birthday party last weekend.

The fun started when the couple’s 4-year-old son Sam told his parents that he wanted a superhero themed birthday party. That’s when Affleck, who will star as Batman in the upcoming film ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ decided to pull out all the stops.

We all dressed up, I dressed up as a ninja and Ben dressed up as Batman for Sam,” Garner explained while promoting her new film ‘Miracles from Heaven’ on Extra on Friday.

Affleck reportedly called the movie studio and had the full costume he wore in the upcoming movie brought to his house.

Garner added that it was “the best Dad moment in history.” The actress said that Sam was already excited even before the party about the fact that his father will be playing one of his favorite superheroes on the big screen.

“He kind of is losing it, it’s really sweet,” she said.

Garner recently gave an interview to Vanity Fair in which she talked openly about her and Affleck’s separation but added that he is still the “love of my life.” Affleck and Garner were in the tabloids throughout 2015 as various outlets reported that the marriage was on the rocks.

People reported that after Sam’s birthday party, Affleck and Garner then took their children out to dinner together at Art’s Table in Santa Monica.

“Jen and Ben seemed fine, you would never think that they are divorcing,” a source at the restaurant told People. “They had a fun dinner with their kids and were both laughing a lot.”

The former couple also hung out together at the Oscars the following day while they chatted up mutual friends.

“They had a nice moment where they caught up and a lot of their friends were there – and they chatted and then they left,” the source added.
