Bachelor Ben Higgins is rumored to give Lauren Bushnell his final rose on the March 14 season finale of ABC’s popular reality show. However, the romantic proposal may lead to a very brief engagement for the L.A.-based flight attendant and the software sales rep from Denver.
On Tuesday, Ben announced in his People blog that he is engaged, something that isn’t a big surprise considering he said, “I love you” to both Lauren and JoJo during his overnight dates. Blogger Reality Steve is confident that Ben is engaged to Lauren, but he’s already predicting the demise of their relationship.

During Monday night’s overnight dates episode, Lauren talked about turtles living 100 years and how she hopes her relationship with Ben lasts that long. Of course, her comment warranted a snarky tweet from Steve who suggested that Lauren set her relationship goals to “100 days” instead. It sounds like he doesn’t hold out much hope for Ben and Lauren to make it to the altar.
Lauren, you are not going to be with Ben for 100 years. How about you set your goals for 100 days first and go from there.

Ben and Lauren got engaged when the finale was filmed on November 19. If they are still together today, they’re on Day 106. Perhaps they will beat the odds and get married — or at the very least, make it another 100 days.
Only one couple in 19 seasons of The Bachelor is still together. Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine got engaged in 2012 (Season 17), married in 2014 and are expecting a baby this summer. And yes, Jason Mesnick (Season 13) is married, but he didn’t marry the girl he proposed to. Instead, he ended his engagement with Melissa Rycroft in 2009 and married runner-up Molly Malaney in 2010.
If the spoilers are correct and Ben did pick Lauren, do you think their engagement will last or is another Bachelor break-up on the way?
