Katy Perry invited Taylor Swift to a pre-Grammy Awards event she’s hosting Saturday night. It seems their publicized feud might be burning out.
Gossip Cop reports that Perry is hosting a black-tie dinner for fellow musicians and artists, which she’s referring to as,“An Evening to Celebrate the Creators.” The singer reveals that there are no managers, publicists, agents, or other executives invited to the dinner. The list of guests include roughly 250 people dubbed as “creators,” and extends to “producers and songwriters.”
“They are not creators,” Katy explained. “They’re important to the creation, but it’s only artists, producers and songwriters. There’s a press opportunity in the front, like a red carpet, but if you want to be more low-key you can arrive via garage. I’m trying to keep it as pure as possible because in the eight years that I’ve been going to these things, I am just always so exhausted.”
Taylor Swift hasn’t confirmed if she’s going because it depends on her schedule. The invite is seen as Katy Perry trying to reach out to Taylor amid her renewed feud with Kanye West. He claimed she agreed to some lyrics he’s using in his single, “Famous.” She disputes his claims that they had a discussion that he would use these lyrics: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b***h famous.”
West insists she’s lying and that Taylor gave her approval for him to use the line.
According to E!, Katy also invited Adele to her black-tie bash. It’s unknown if she’s showing up, either.
Katy Perry won’t be attending the 2016 Grammy Awards. She’s taking a break after appearing at eight of them. She says she looks forward to watching them from the comfort of her home in her pajamas.
Is the feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift ending?
