NG Dragons v Connacht (Thurs)

Hallam Amos

Hallam Amos (centre) has won five caps for Wales, scoring one try

Wales back Hallam Amos will not play for the Newport Gwent Dragons as they entertain Connacht in the Pro12.

Amos was released by Wales for last Friday’s defeat to Ulster, but will not feature at Rodney Parade on Thursday.

He is replaced by wing Nick Scott as one of four changes, while fly-half Jason Tovey returns from a back spasm.

Connacht have made three changes from their win against Scarlets on 30 January, with AJ MacGinty replacing Jack Carty at fly-half.

Craig Ronaldson comes in at inside centre with Bundee Aki switching to 13, while prop Rodney Ah You is recalled.

Ireland Six Nations squad members Kieran Marmion, Finlay Bealham and Ultan Dillane are on the bench.

“Given that they haven’t trained with us this week, they will add impact from the bench,” said head coach Pat Lam.

“We are under no illusions as to how tough the challenge will be in Newport, and in tough conditions.”
