Playboy Model Suffers Stroke: Katie Mays Hospitalized With ‘Catastrophic’ Stroke

 Katie May

Playboy model Katie May suffered a “catastrophic” stroke in Los Angeles on Monday, according to her family. TMZ reports that the model and social media sensation complained of neck pain and went to the doctor. Not long after, a blockage in her carotid artery resulted in the sudden stroke.

May — known as MsKatieMay online – is hospitalized and in critical condition. She’s said to only be in her mid-30s.

Not long after the Playboy model’s stroke hit news, there were rumors that she died. People started posting R.I.P. on her social media sites, but she’s still alive.

May has other names she’s known by, such as the “Queen of Snapchat.” She’s modeled for Playboy and Sports Illustrated and has almost 2 million followers on Instagram. May has a 7-year-old daughter and her family has set up a GoFundMe page to support her while mom is in the hospital. According to the report, Katie’s prognosis doesn’t look good at this point.

So far, $6,835 has been raised of $100K being requested on Katie May’s GoFundMe page. According to the brief statement posted on the fundraising site, it reads: “Katie’s family plans on using any money raised to help pay for education and Mia’s daily life.”

The description goes on to read: “Anyone who was lucky enough to know Katie May was truly blessed by her incredible heart, mind and soul. She was an inspiration and a guiding light to so many people in this world. Please help us by donating money to support her daughter and best friend Mia. We want to raise as much money for Mia’s living trust as possible to ensure she will always be taken care of. Mia was Katie’s whole life, so please help Katie, Mia and us by donating money to Mia.”

It’s unclear if the Playboy model will recover from the stroke. Most likely her family will keep the media updated.
