Columbus Short, Former ‘Scandal’ Star Charged With Abusing Ex-Wife, Secretly Weds Third Wife

Columbus Short

Actor Columbus Short secretly married video vixen and author Karrine Steffans. The pair was first linked late last year while working on a film together and using the hashtag #MeetTheShorts on social media.

Steffans revealed they were indeed husband wife after one Instagram follower urged her to “be careful” about starting a new relationship.

Steffans responded to the post by writing: “Ma’am… this is my husband. Legally. Try minding your business. Lord. You people. So nosy but never know what you’re talking about.”

When the user claimed there was no mention of Steffans on Short’s social media pages, she shot back: “Look at his page again. There are several photos of me/us. smh What is wrong with you?”

According to BET, the couple wed in October.

Short, 33, has been married twice before. He split with Brandi Short in 2003. He split with ex Tanee McCall in 2013 after eight years of marriage. She accused him of domestic abuse. In July 2014 he denied claims he abused McCall, telling Access Hollywood: “Me and my wife, we’re going through problems, severe problems. However I’m not a physically violent man. I’ve never put my hands on a woman ever.”

Short later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence.

Steffans was married to “Family Matters” actor Darius McCrary for three years until 2011. She has a restraining order against him over domestic abuse charges.
