Herbert and Catherine Schaible withheld medical care from their seven-month-old son, four years after the death of another son in similar circumstances.

LPGA event in Bahamas cut to 54 holes
Paradise Island, Bahamas – The inaugural Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic was cut to 54 holes on Wednesday, a day before the event was to begin.
On Tuesday, the Ocean Club Golf Course at Atlantis took on close to a foot of
rain in an eight-hour period starting at 3 p.m. local time.
According to the LPGA Tour, there was standing water on at least seven holes
with the ninth and 18th fairways completely flooded.

Chinua Achebe is to be buried in his hometown of Ogidi
Renowned Nigerian author Chinua Achebe, who died in March, is due to be buried in his home town in Anambra state.
Mr Achebe’s body arrived back in Nigeria on Wednesday from the US. The author died in Boston at the age of 82 following a brief illness.
Relatives and officials were at Enugu airport in southern Nigeria as the coffin was lowered from the plane.

ALAMEDA, Calif. – Charles Woodson had gotten word that Oakland fans had mobilized through social media to hold a rally at his free-agent visit to the Raiders.
