LinkedIn retools Web navigation to match mobile
Starting Wednesday, LinkedIn will be sporting a much sexier and simplified navigation bar inspired by the design of its just-improved mobile applications.
“Over the last year and half we’ve had the chance to learn quite a bit from you about the types of changes that add the most value to your daily professional life, and we’ve brought some of these learnings to the new navigation,” LinkedIn Principal Designer Amy Parnell wrote in blog post.

Christine Lagarde smiled for the media as she entered the court
IMF chief Christine Lagarde has arrived at a court in Paris for questioning over a payout to a controversial tycoon during her time as finance minister.
She is being asked to explain her handling of a row in 2007 which resulted in some 400m euros (£342m; $516m) being paid to Bernard Tapie.
She is appearing before the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), which investigates ministerial misconduct.

As well as hacking, much of the IP theft took place the ‘old-fashioned way’, the report said
The theft of intellectual property from the US is “unprecedented” and costing the nation an estimated $300bn (£200bn) each year, a report says.
The study, led by former top-ranking officials, said China was thought to be behind 50-80% of the theft.
Stronger deterrent measures that made IP theft unprofitable were needed, the report said.
