Consumers awaiting Apple’s rumored wearable, watch-like device might need to wait until next year before the gadget sees the light of day.
That’s according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said Apple “may not have adequate resources” to develop a version of iOS for the device given its efforts to revamp the software as part of iOS 7.

Man charged with mailing ricin letter to judge in Washington state

OLYMPIA, Washington (Reuters) – Federal authorities on Wednesday arrested a man charged with mailing a letter containing the deadly poison ricin to a U.S. district judge in Spokane, Washington, the FBI said.

Bomb attack kills Pakistan police

A bomb planted in a rickshaw has killed at least 12 people in Quetta in south west Pakistan, officials say.
At least 10 of the dead were said to be security personnel. A number of other people were wounded.
“The target was a truck of Balochistan Constabulary which was carrying the security personnel,” police official Fayyaz Sumbal said.
Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province bordering Afghanistan and Iran, is plagued by sectarian violence.

SoftBank gives U.S. right to OK Sprint board member — report
In a further attempt to ease national security concerns over its proposed acquisition of Sprint, Japan-based SoftBank has agreed to give the U.S. government the right to approve one of the members SoftBank would appoint to Sprint’s board of directors, according to a report.
The U.S.-approved board member would make sure a SoftBank-owned Sprint honored whatever security agreement is hammered out with U.S. regulators, The Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

UN chief Ban Ki-moon has begun a trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo as fighting continues near the eastern city of Goma.
Mr Ban said he was deeply concerned by the renewed fighting and said the world community would stand with Congo.
In the latest violence, rebels fired two rockets at Goma killing one person and wounding four, officials said.
