North end of the I-5 bridge over Skagit River collapsed Thursday night.
A bridge along Interstate-5 in Washington State collapsed on Thursday evening, leaving at least two cars and some people submerged in water, according to Washington State Patrol.
It was unclear how many people were in the Skagit River, the waterway in northern Washington that the four-lane bridge crossed.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. local time, and traffic has been closed in both directions.

Putnam leads suspended Mexico Championship
Leon, Mexico – Michael Putnam carded an 8-under 64 on Thursday and snared a 2-stroke lead at the Mexico Championship before play was suspended due to darkness.
The first round was halted for over an hour due to lightning in the area and

Part of Washington state freeway span collapses into river: dispatcher

(Reuters) – Part of a freeway bridge over the Skagit River in Washington state collapsed on Thursday, sending vehicles falling into the water below, an emergency dispatcher said.
Washington State Patrol dispatcher A.J. Cooper could give no further details and said she did not know if people were in the water under the portion of Interstate 5 that collapsed over the river.

Part of a road bridge has collapsed into the Skagit River in the US state of Washington, officials say.
Police said some vehicles were in the water after a section of the Interstate 5 highway collapsed.
The four-lane bridge is near Mount Vernon, about half way between Seattle and Vancouver, in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
A state trooper reported that cars and people were in the water but it is not known if there are any casualties.

Google may be driving forward with a plan to purchase Waze for $1 billion or more, according to a new report.
Bloomberg reported Thursday that Google is considering a bid for the mobile mapping and navigation company. The search giant perked up to the idea only after learning that Facebook was in talks to buy Waze, Bloomberg reported.
When reached for comment, Waze spokesperson Julie Mossler said that the startup does not comment on rumors or speculation.
