Business reporter, BBC News
As usual, the Paris Air Show has been dominated by the two big beasts of the industry.
Will Airbus announce more orders than Boeing? Will Boeing have more products on display than Airbus? Whose vision of the future of air travel looks most credible?
But below the radar are signs that this duopoly may one day be challenged. China and Russia have a huge presence in Paris.

‘Let doctors in to Guantánamo’, say medics
More than 150 doctors, including from the US, have signed an open letter to Barack Obama, urging him to allow Guantánamo detainees access to independent medical examinations and advice.
They have backed the plea of 13 hunger strikers, made in a letter to the Guardian last month, who said they did not trust military doctors whom they accused of putting their duty to their superiors above their duty to their patients.
According to the authors of the letter, published in the Lancet: “Without trust, safe and acceptable medical care of m [...]

The actress is definitely back to her fighting weight after baby number three. She’s been spotted hitting the gym, going to spin class, heading to a yoga studio, and now running. It’s safe to say that the Oscar winner likes to change up her workouts.
Dressed in head-to-toe black workout gear, the actress hit the pavement with a girlfriend in Brentwood. She wore a university cap in lieu of her Atlanta Police Department [...]

Could Apple tap Nvidia for graphics power in its mobile devices? Maybe, now that the chipmaker has decided to license its graphics technology.
Nvidia on Tuesday said it would begin licensing its GPU cores and “visual computing” patent portfolio to device manufacturers — a new business model for the company. The technology could appear in a full range of products from phones to supercomputers, the company said, with products like [...]

Fox)
Fox Broadcasting is broadening how online viewers can watch its scripted-drama franchise WIGS, expanding the most popular series “Blue” and others to Hulu, beyond just YouTube.
“Blue” has blown past 20 million views on Google’s video site, but expanding the program to a lesser-watched platform suggests YouTube’s recent push for premium-style content can be complicated.
Ad-supported Hulu and subscription service Hulu Plus now have the first two seasons of “Blue” available [...]

There has long been a tendency for some media to publish all the news that’s fit to be found out through any means possible.
One of those means is the hacking of voice mails. Indeed, News Corp. has settled hundreds of claims from famous people and those temporarily in the news for reasons that might be as sad as they might be trifling.
Now a woman who stood in for Angelina Jolie in dangerous times (but not in sex scenes with Brad Pitt [...]
